About The Source |
| The Artist Jonathan Alan Crum Shelton was born in 1972 on The Farm in Summertown, Tn. The Farm was a "hippie commune" that grew to over 1500 members, prospering, and building a graceful lifestyle based on spiritual exploration and sustainability. Jonathan left The Farm at the age of nine, but kept his artistic nature rooted deeply in the 1700 acres of rich woodlands where he spent his childhood exploring our natural world. Always a keen observer of the wonders of nature, Jonathan has developed a unique eye for seeing the intricacies in the fabric of life that surrounds us. Jonathan moved to the mountains of North Carolina to attend Appalachian State University in 1990. The beauty and inspiration of these ancient mountains captured his soul and has kept him here to this day. Though Jonathan has made his roots in the Appalachian Mountains, he considers the world his home and has traveled throughout the US, South East Asia, Europe, the UK, Ireland, and the Caribbean. The sights, inspirations, and experiences in Jonathan's life have all come together to create the unique flair of The Source. Today, Jonathan works harder than ever, and is lovingly supported by his wife Kelly-Ann and his twin girls Naia Isabella and Cerelia Sophia. Jonathan and his art can be found at many festivals in the Southeast during the summer months, and of course you can always find us here. Click here for upcoming festivals and events. |
